Donations For Military Medical Information Network

China's military medical information network, now under construction, recently received 50 million yuan in donations from the municipal government of Shanghai, according to official sources.

A city government department in charge of promoting friendly ties between servicemen and civilians donated 200 sets of satellite television equipment to the Health Department of the General Logistics Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The PLA's medical information network is being built up by the PLA Remote Medical Research and Development Base and a local networking company in the city.

The network will provide the army's medical staff with information on medical services, training and medical sciences.
