China Improving Xerox Production

The Sino-US Xerox of Shanghai Limited, the largest duplicating machine maker in China, has recently created a new type of analog duplicating machine.

The new type of machine was developed by Chinese researchers, and is expected to begin mass production of the world's latest analog Xerox machine next year.

Annual output of the new product is expected to reach 70,000 sets and 50,000 will be exported.

Shanghai Xerox has sent several groups of Chinese people to the US to learn about photo-copying machines with a view to building Shanghai into one of the world's development, production and service centers of photo-copying machines.

Since 1987, Xerox has invested more than 80 million US dollars setting up three joint ventures and a wholly foreign-owned entity in Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuhan and Shenzhen.

Xerox plans to launch a photo-copying machine Research and Development Center in China, the fifth set up outside the United States.
