Software, Computer Producers Promote E-Commerce

China's At Commerce Ltd, a well-known e-commerce software producer in China, signed agreements to set up cooperative relations with IBM today to jointly promote e-commerce in China.

According to the agreements, the two companies will take advantage of their expertise in software and hardware, providing packaged e-commerce solutions for Chinese firms.

Besides system installation, on-line system support, At Commerce will also set up a training network across the country toprovide e-commerce training courses for firms.

Following the signing of the agreements, the two companies will launch exhibitions and seminars around China.

China has more than 1,000 e-commerce websites. Sales for the year are expected to reach 350 million yuan.

But experts agreed that China's e-commerce is still in its embryonic stage.
