China's machine-building shows 5% growth in 1st half year

According to authoritative departments, China's machine-building industry has registered a stable growth and has shown improved operation and good economic returns in the first half of this year. A total of 645.25 billion yuan has been yielded from sales to show a 15.22% rise over last, of which, 380.004 billion yuan, up 11.79%, were created by large and medium-sized enterprises. The whole trade's net profits were placed at 20.366 billion yuan, up 53.9% over last.

Pipeline Transportation Developed Fast in China

China has come by now to claim a total of 20,000 km pipe transportation line extending over its 16 provinces, cities and autonomous regions after 30 year's construction. This pipeline has formed an orderly highly efficient transportation network for the country's natural gas and 90% of oil.

Biggest Bromine Joint Venture Launched in China

Weifang Sino-Israel Bromine Com. Ltd., the biggest bromine undertaking jointly launched by Shandong Haihua Group and Israeli Dead Sea Bromine Group in China, at a cost of US$300 million, lately had foundation stone laid at Shandong Haihua Group in Laizhou Bay, Bohai Sea. According to contracts signed, the first phase investment is expected to be at US $30 million for research and development of hi-tech high-added value bromide products enjoying a high market share.

Brand Infringements Increased in First Half Year

According to the State Administration of Industry and Commerce, brand infringement cases have been on the increase in the first half of this year. Statistics show that cases investigated and punished for infringing on foreign brands in first half year rose to 665, or 93 more, to show a 16.26% increase over the same period of last year, of which faking up foreign brand cases increased 68, up 12.36%. In addition, there were 3092 cases investigated and punished as cases of counterfeits and torts in the field of circulation, to show an increase of 581, up 23.1% over the same period of last year.
