China Shooting Film to Promote Western Development
The shooting of a film titled "Fragrant Oath," with the theme of China's ongoing drive to develop its western region, has begun in this municipality in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The movie centers on the story of Ding Jiayao, a merchant from Taiwan, who comes back to Chongqing to invest after leaving the city for the island province fifty years before. At the same time he is looking for his ex-fiancee and a person nicknamed Xiao Bing who saved him from danger at that time.
"The purpose of the film is to pay tribute to the people who are devoting themselves to the western development drive," director Wang Xiaotang said.
