US Foundation Expands Cooperation with Qinghai

A US foundation recently signed an agreement with Qinghai Province in northwest China to further expand the cooperation between the two sides.

The New York-based Trace Foundation, a private and non-profit organization, has so far invested 640,000 U.S. dollars in Qinghai to sponsor 46 projects in the educational and cultural sectors.

The purpose of the foundation is to help improve and develop the education, public health, culture, economy and natural environment of Qinghai, an official in charge of the foundation said at the signing ceremony.

A Qinghai official said that the province is willing to conduct various kinds of cooperation with international organizations, and investment in other sectors is encouraged.
