Foreign Art Works To Be Displayed During Chinese Festival
Six international art exhibitions will be held during the Sixth Chinese Art Festival between September 28 and October 13 in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province.
These exhibitions include the International Painting Show, the Russian Oil Painting Exhibition, and the African Art Exposition.
An international forum on arts and crafts will also be staged during the festival.
The triennial art festival is the biggest showcase of China's artistic achievements. It aims, among other things, to promote folk culture.
This year's festival will be sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the provincial government of Jiangsu. Some 80 performances will be staged by domestic and overseas troupes.
Performances will be given in Nanjing and other four major cities in the province.
