China to Hold Patent Technologies Trade Fair
A patent technologies trade fair is to be staged from September 26 through 28 in Shenyang, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province.
Jointly sponsored by the State Patent Bureau and the Liaoning Provincial Government, the fair features a wide range of programs, including patent technologies, new and hi-tech, military technologies turned to civil use.
The provincial government has worked out preferential policies to lure patent and other technologies holders both from at home and abroad, a provincial official said at a preparatory meeting.
Financial supports, including 10 million yuan (1.2 million US dollars) to pay banks' interests, another 10 million yuan of risk capital and 5 million yuan (602,000 US dollars) of insurance fund, are offered to help those programs to be implemented in Liaoning, the official said.
As one of old industrial bases, Liaoning is speeding up the process to renovate traditional industries and develop new and high-tech industries.
