West China Holds Folk Song Contest

The second Western China Folk Song Contest opened in this capital city of Ningxia Hui AutonomousRegion Saturday.

More than 70 attendants from nine provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in western part of the country will take part in the five day contest.

The contest aims to enhance exchange among the western provinces and promote folk art in the region.
