Hong Kong will issue a set of special stamps on August 27 to mark the 2000 Olympic Games to be held in Sydney, Postmaster General Luk Ping-chuen said Friday.
The stamps, designed by Michael Miller Yu and printed in lithography by the Walsall Security Printers Ltd, United Kingdom, are the third set of special stamps released by Hong Kong Post to commemorate the Olympic Games. The first set was issued in 1992 and the second set in 1996.
These stamps depict the popular Olympic sports that the Hong Kong delegation has participated in, including cycling and badminton, table tennis and athletics, judo and rowing, as well as swimming and yachting.
