Hainan Develops Grain Production with Aid from Japan

Hainan Province in south China is improving its grain production with aid in kind from Japan. The island province got gratuitous agricultural production materials valued at 600 million yen from Japan as part of a Japanese government program to help China's grain production.

So far, nine most needy cities and counties have been designated to use the donation on some 26 agricultural projects by the end of this year.
