Chinese Customs Catch Nine Stowaways
Customs at the airport of Fuzhou city in east China's Fujian province arrested nine stowaways in July. The nine persons, including two children, were arrested on July 11 and 28.
Five of them had fake permanent residence certificates from the United States. They would pay 55,000 US dollars each to "snakeheads" if they succeeded in getting to the US
The remaining four persons held fake US visas and agreed to pay "snakehead" 53,000 US dollars each after arriving in the US.
