China Develops Tourism Forecast
A special meeting on increasing information about tourism opened today in this southern Chinese City of Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province.
During the three-day meeting, participants will learn about statistics, making bookings, travel agency services and modes of transportation to popular tourism destinations.
Twenty-one cities, and 10 other major scenic sites have been targeted.
Many urban residents are willing to spend money on tourism, but a lack of information such as booking a hotel in popular destinations makes it difficult for many when traveling during peak tourist seasons.
The meeting is sponsored by the China National Tourism Administration and the State Statistics Bureau.
