French, British Experts Meet on Concorde Safety

French and British engine and aviation experts began a meeting here Monday morning on the safety of the Concorde supersonic aircraft, after Tuesday tragic crash of one of such planes.

A spokesman of the General Direction of Civil Aviation (DGAC) belonging to the French Ministry of Transport said that the meeting is gathering officials of the DGAC, the British Aviation Authority, engine experts from France's SNECMA company and Britain's Rolls-Royce, experts from the European Aeronautics, Defense and Space company, British Aerospace and Air France and representatives from the British Airways.

The attendants of the meeting will propose on the technical measures aimed at reinforcing security of the plane, and the way to let the five remaining Concorde of Air France resume flight.

France has suspended all flights of Concorde since the crash while the British Airways is still using the plane.

The Latest results of investigation showed that the crash of the Concorde could be linked with a massive leakage of fuel which caused the fire on the plane after it took off.
