Education Helped for School-age Girls in Tibet and Xinjiang

On the eve of August 1st Army Day, the PLA Air Force made a donation of 1.2 million yuan in support of "Spring Bud" projects in Tibet and Xinjiang.

With PLA Air Force's help, another 17 "Blue Sky Spring Bud" classes will be opened for girls and about one thousand girl dropouts will be helped to return to schools in Tibet and Xinjiang.

Since 1995, men of the PLA Air Force have donated three times, adding up to a total of 4.6 million yuan. There are as many as several hundred thousand officers and soldiers to have participated in this activity. So far, with 71 "Blue Sky Spring Bud" classes opened for girls in Tibet and Xinjiang, over 4,000 girl dropouts have been helped with a three-year education.

Initiated by the Chinese Children Fund Association, "Spring Bud" projects have been launched to help girl dropouts back to school in China.
