President Jiang Attends PLA Choral Concert

Chinese President Jiang Zemin recently attended a choral concert of "Soldiers Morality Songs" in Beijing to mark the Army Day which falls on August 1, the anniversary founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The suite of songs composed by well-known PLA composers and songwriters includes eight songs, eulogizing the glorious history and tradition of the PLA, and features the new spirit of Chinese modern soldiers.

Jiang, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, highly praised these songs and the wonderful performance.
