Capital Airport Mobilized to Fight Human Trafficking
The Capital International Airport of Beijing has adopted a series of measures to fight against human trafficking through the airport.
The airport's leading group against human trafficking convened a meeting here today, calling for joint efforts from the police, the civil aviation industry, border patrol and customs departments.
Eleven measures and requirements were unveiled at the meeting, which are expected to greatly strengthen the airport's fight against human smuggling and other crimes.
Major emphasis will be placed on the crack-down of "snakeheads", who demand high fees for taking people out of China, according to participants at the meeting.
