Shenzhen to Build Public Internet Surfing Booths
Modeling on Sangxia Public Internet Booth, a batch of new public Internet booths will be built to operate as a multi-functional, intellectualized and comprehensive platform for information exchanges to convenience people to surf on the Internet in public places in Shenzhen.
Once as popular as telephone booths, public Internet surfing booths will by then enable people to surf on the Internet easily through a card on the street, in hotels and stores.
Being the first of its kind in China, Sangxia public Internet booths have been spoken highly by people after appearing in institutions of Shenzhen People's Congress and Shenzhen People's Political Consultative Conference. Pilot ones have been set up in Wuzhou Hotel and another five hundred will be built in Shenzhen and other places throughout the region.
Sangxia public Internet surfing booths are a patent product independently developed by Sangxia Corporation of Shenzhen, and have received full approval from experts of the State 863 Experts Group and Qinghua University.
There are two types of Sangxia booths reported, one for being erected on the ground and the other for hanging on walls. The "easily mastered type" provides quick bottoms for 8 channels, enabling people to view different information with a single click.
