Chinese Firms to Develop Safety System for Nuclear Power Plant
Zhonghe Jiu'an Science and Technology Company will become the first Chinese enterprise to develop safety systems for a nuclear power plant.
According to a contract signed recently between the company and an affiliated company of the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant, Zhonghe Jiu'an will be responsible for developing entrance guarding, closed-circuit monitoring, alarm systems, lighting, computerized management and other systems to ensure the safety of the second phase project of the Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant.
The Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant, located at the mouth of the Qiantang River, east China's Zhejiang Province, is designed solely by China and has an installed generating capacity of 4.1 million kilowatts.
