South China City to Hold Int'l Education Exhibition

The 2000 China Nanning International Education Exhibition will be held in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from October 27 to 30.

The four-day exhibition will attract over 100 domestic enterprises and institutes; over 50 educational organizations from 18 countries and regions including the United States, Australia and Japan will attend the event.

The exhibition aims to promote international educational exchanges and cooperation services, provide services for sino- foreign joint ventures on education, exchange of students and educational scientific research achievements.

Sponsored by the Nanning Municipal government and undertaken by the Beijing Carnelian Educational Intergrade Investment Co.,Ltd. and a local company in Nanning, the exhibition will provide opportunities for student exchange and setting up non-government- run schools.

Carnelian is funded by China Huayu Development Corporation, the largest enterprise affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education, and several foreign educational investment organizations. It is engaged in educational investment, school real estate, educational software development as well as the production of educational electronic equipment and products.
