Chinese Men's Volleyball Team Fails to Qualify for Sydney Olympics

The Chinese men's national volleyball team Wednesday night failed to qualify for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.

On the third and final day of the Olympic qualifying men's volleyball tournament held at Greece's Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, spain easily qualified for the Sydney Olmpics by defeating Greece 3-0 ( 27-25, 25-17, 25-20).

Spain ranked first with six points at the tournament by winning all its three matches with China, Greece and Tunisia respectively, while China gained five points Wednesday after beating tunisia 3-2 (25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-27, 15-12). China also defeated Greece 3-0 on Tuesday night.

Greece, the host country, got four points and Tunisia abtained three points.
