Chinese Artist Sets Finger Painting Record

A 170-meter-long finger painting of the Yangtze River has been confirmed as the longest of its kind in the world by the Shanghai Office of the Guinness Book of World Records.

The painting, which is 0.4 meters wide, was done by Xiao Zenglie, a famous finger painter from the city of Pingxiang in east China's Jiangxi Province.

The unique painting depicts more than 160 historical sites along the Yangtze, China's longest river.

Xiao, now deputy-director of the China Finger Painting Research Society, spent some 10 years traveling 30,000 km of land along the Yangtze River.
