Jiangsu Assists Scientific Development in Tibet
Jiangsu Province, a well-developed coastal area in China, donated 200,000 yuan to assist scientific and technological development in Lhasa, capital of southwest China 's Tibet autonomous region, on Tuesday.
Wang Yongshun, director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology, said at the donation ceremony that his province will donate more funds to help Tibet turn out its own brand-name products and improve bilateral cooperation on developing farm and animal husbandry.
Technological departments in Jiangsu have donated funds and equipment worth 1.8 million yuan since 1996 to Lhasa. With the donation, Lhasa has built an information network center.
