China State Shipbuilding Corporation(CSSC), one of the country's biggest shipbuilding giants, has received more orders in the first half of the year.
During the period, CSSC's output value stood at 5.86 billion yuan, up 2.4 percent over the same period last year, while exports reached 3.55 billion yuan, an increase of 2.2 percent.
At present, the corporation holds orders involving 205 ships, or 4.26 million tons, four times as many as the production in 1999.
According to an CSSC official, the corporation has received more orders from domestic ship owners this year. However, the ship prices haven't significantly increased as anticipated.
