China's Railways Registered Stable Growth in June

The Ministry of Railways said today the sector earned 288 million yuan daily on average in June, up 9.4 percent from the same period last year.

Of the total, income from train tickets accounted for 91 million yuan, while cargo transport made up 153 million yuan.

China's railways carried 2.51 million passengers daily in June, an increase of one percent on an annual basis. The daily cargo transport volume stood at 80,618 carriages, 4,118 more than the planned.

In addition, the container transport volume hit 3.46 million tons, according to the Ministry.
