CNOOC Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of the China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC), has started construction of a liquefied gas project with a production capacity of 200 million tons in the Bohai Sea to expand its retail sales share in the domestic market.
According to Wednesday's China Petrochemical News, Beijing, Tianjin and Shandong province will be major users of the liquefied gas source.
The newspaper said that CNOOC Co. Ltd is planning to build a 2, 000-km-long gas pipeline in the coastal areas of southeast China expected to be put into operation by 2015.
