2,400-Year-Old Tombs Found in Central ChinaChinese archaeologists have found a group of more than 100 ancient tombs in Jinmen City in Hubei Province. The tombs can be dated back to the Chu State of the Warring States period (475-221 BC). Experts have unearthed more than 100 historical relics including bronze articles, pottery and lacquerware from the grave site located in Shayang County. Experts have also found the remains of an ancient town of that period in the county. Pottery and china ware was excavated from the town square ruins covering an area of 50,000 square meters. The relics will provide valuable clues for study on the history before the Qin Dynasty (221-207 BC) and the cultural history of the state of Chu.
