First Online Mobilization Exercise for National Defense Held in China
An online mobilization exercise for national defense centered on combating air raids was recently held in E'zhou, Hubei province. According to the appraisal of some experts such an exercise is the first of its kind ever held by the army in China. It tallies with the new features of building a strong army with innovative and lofty ideas and advanced science and technology, and be prepared for wars of the information era.
By linking up with E'zhou commanding center of defense mobilization committee, the E'zhou Telecom and the other 9 militiamen network with video and audio information working interactively, the online exercise demonstrates the main content of a wartime mobilization organizing and commanding processes and methods.
The exercise is as reported aimed at tapping by means of local networks for experiences and mechanism in switching quickly from peace to war, thereby improving the quality and efficiency of defense mobilization and pushing ahead the preparation and realization of military struggles in the new era.
Recently, some experts were invited to visit the online exercises and the result was highly appreciated.
