Four hundred school principals from across the nation met Monday to discuss the future of E- education in China, the China Youth Daily reported today.
The meeting was designed to speed up the pace of attuning China's education with the fast-developing information technology and the E-economy, the newspaper said.
Participants would discuss topics including the influence of Internet over primary and secondary school education, quality- oriented education and the cultivation of students' creativeness.
Officials from the Ministry of Education, the Beijing municipal government and some IT "elite" also attended the meeting.
