Cattle Embryo Transplant Technology In Inner Mongolia

A training center to teach people the technologies of cattle embryo transplants has been founded in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

The Inner Mongolia Xuri Biological Training Center is considered an important step forward in improving the variety of cattle.

Xuri Gan, director of the Center, said the Center will train technical staff and ordinary herdsman.

Xuri, also the member of Academy of Engineering of China and regarded as a foremost founder of embryo transplant for domestic animals, headed the research achieving China's first test-tube cattle ten years ago. The Center has trained about 140 people.

The Center also has built cattle embryo supply bases in Canada and Australia, providing 20,000 to 40,000 cattle embryos a year for the center.
