New Constituent Stock Added for Hang Seng China Enterprises Index
Beijing Beida Jade Bird Universal Sci-Tech Company Limited will be added as a constituent stock of the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index (HSCEI) with effect from July 28, 2000, according to HSI Services Limited Monday.
This follows the objective of the compilation of the HSCEI to track the overall performance of all H shares listed in Hong Kong. The H Shares of Beijing Beida will be listed on the Growth Enterprise Market of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong on July 27, 2000. It will be added into the HSCEI on the day after its first trading day.
With the addition of Beijing Beida Jade Bird Universal Sci-Tech Company Limited, there will be 47 constituent stocks in the HSCEI.
The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index is managed and compiled by HSI Services Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hang Seng Bank. HSI Services Limited also compiles the Hang Seng Index, Hang Seng 100, Hang Seng China-Affiliated Corporations Index, New Hang Seng MidCap 50 Index, Hang Seng IT Index, Hang Seng IT Portfolio Index, Hang Seng London Reference Index and Hang Seng Asia Index.
