China Lost on First Day of Athens Volleyball Tournament

China lost its match with Spain on the first day of the Olympic qualifying men's volleyball tournament which is being held at the Peace and Friendship Stadium in Piraeus, near the capital city of Athens on Monday.

Spain beat China 3-0 (26-24, 25-19, 25-17) while Greece defeated Tunisia 3-1 (25-15, 20-25, 25-18, 25-17).

On Tuesday, China will play Greece and Spain will meet Tunisia. "Our players exploded their best during the game and they will try whatever they can to score a good result in the coming days," said the Chinese head coach Wang Jiawei at a press conference after the match.

Wang also attributed his team's defeat to the young players' poor experience
