Changping Sci-tech Park Rising Fast
Thanks to improved service provided and desirable investment environment created, Changping Sci-tech Park in suburban Beijing has been developing rapidly.
In the first half of this year, there are already 126 enterprises having been founded in the park, 2.6 times over the same period last year. With a net profit reaching 1.18 billion yuan, the Park has had a total of US$10 million export earnings made in addition to over 90 million yuan of taxes that have been turned to the state, showing a sharp increase over the previous year.
Since start of this year, with daring reforms carried out, a perfect investment service center formed of an investment utilization department, information department and a service center for returned overseas Chinese students has been established in the Park. Procedures and relevant policies have been promulgated and a minimum time for examining and approving enterprises' application has been set. Commendable is an all-round service system that will enable a project application to be completed within three days.
Moreover, 12 preferential policies have also been introduced to facilitate construction of new technology enterprises in the Park. By the end of this June, enterprises on information technology, photoelectron and biological medicine have come to take over 70% of all new technology enterprises founded. Among the various new hi-tech industrial enterprises is also a state "863" project - Park of Biological Science launched in Changping.
