Nawaz Sharif Sentenced to 14 Years' Imprisonment
Deposed Former Pakistanian Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been sentenced to 14 years in jail for tax evasion.
The Accountability Court of Pakistan has also disqualified him from holding any public office for 21 years, and fined him 20 million rupees, about 37-thousand U.S. dollars.
Nawaz Sharif was convicted of buying a

n-made helicopter in the mid-1990s without revealing the price or paying tax.
The former Prime Minister is already serving two concurrent life terms for hijacking and terrorism.
