Carry the Battle Against Falun Gong Through to the EndCurrently, the nationwide campaign againt the evil cult "Falun Gong" has reaped a victorious struggle, yet the arduous and complex tasks facing us have urged us to carry the battle through to the end, the Beijing-based People's Liberation Army (PLA) Daily said Thursday in an editorial.Ever since China began to reveal Falun Gong's evil behaviours on July 19 last year and banned its vicious activities on July 22 last year, more and more people both inside and outside China have come to see the infamous features of the cult, and walked away from it. No one would like to listen the nonsense of Li Hongzhi, the cult leader, any more; Falun Gong is just like a running rat on the street that is being run after by anyone. Though the government's complete victory, our battle on Falun Gong is far from over, the paper reiterated. Ever since last May, cult leader Li Hongzhi -- after a long hide without any daring to say anything, began to use malicious words to attack the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the socialist system, and instigated Falun Gong practioners to confront with the government. He has completely become a flunkey and a political tool of the Western hostile forces against China. The Chinese Government will never allow Li and his ardent followers to continue spreading rumours and cheating people through the cultish organization, which has led more than 1,500 people to death. The paper reminded people of the true political aims of Falun Gong that is against science, against government, against society, and against human kind. The PLA Daily urged the Chinese people to be fully aware of the severe consequences of Falun Gong, so as to safeguard the smooth running of China's socialist construction and the country's stability as well. |
