International Summer Camp Opens in South ChinaAn international summer camp for young people opened Thursday in Haikou, capital city of south China's island province of Hainan.A total of 109 youngsters from 12 countries and regions, including China, the United States, Germany, Malaysia, Thailand and Australia, are attending the camp. The week-long event, with the theme of science and culture, aims to promote friendship and cooperation between young people from different parts of the world. The young campers will visit a rain forest, ocean park, active volcanic area and high-tech agricultural park. They will also discuss questions concerning the Internet. |
