Zhejiang to Host International Audio-video Expo
This capital of east China's Zhejiang Province is to host an international exposition on electronic publications and audio-video products from October 26 to 29.
Co-sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the China Association of Audio-Video Products (CAAVP) and the China Software Association, the expo will present a variety of electronic publications and audio-video products such as tapes and compact disks.
Liu Guoxiong, chairman of the CAAVP, told a press conference recently that more than 270 publishing houses and audio-video products enterprises, including 20 overseas firms, will join the four-day event.
Also during the event, a fair on audio-video equipment, a seminar on multi-media in the new century, a lecture on high-technology and modern life, and a film show of 100 Oscar-winning movies will be held.
The expo aims to promote exchanges and cooperation between enterprises and publishers in the field while playing its due role in piracy control and intellectual property protection, Liu said.
