Economic, Trade, Culture Week to Be Held in Haikou
An economic, trade and culture week sponsored by organizations from both Taiwan and Hainan will be held in Hainan Province's capital Haikou on September 16-21.
According to local sources, during the week there will be a fair with 300 business booths, where commodities like computers, electronic equipment, medical equipment, garments and souvenirs will be traded, and a number of forums will be conducted.
It is expected that more than 50,000 people will attend the event, including business representatives of 550 companies from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan.

The economic, trade and culture week will be jointly sponsored by organizations including Taiwan Democratic Self-Government League Hainan Provincial Committee, Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party Hainan Provincial Committee, Hainan Provincial Chamber of Commerce, and two Taiwan-based organizations such as China Council for Promotion of Democracy and Peaceful Reunification.
