Indonesian Authorities Start Seizing Suharto AssetsIndonesian authorities say they've started seizing assets linked to former President Suharto, who's under investigation for large-scale corruption.A spokesman for the Attorney-General's Office said the first asset to be taken was a colonial-style villa south of Jakarta, owned by a charity he once controlled. The Attorney-General's Office has been investigating allegations Suharto accumulated wealth from a number of charitable foundations he operated while in power. The office has said it should be ready to begin a trial by August the 10th. Meanwhile, a granddaughter-in-law of former President Suharto has been jailed for allegedly possessing illegal drugs. A police spokesman says Gusti Maya Firanti Noor, wife of Mr Suharto's grandson Ari Sigit, has been taken to the women's prison in Jakarta.
