Water Level of the Yangtze River Rises Above Danger Mark

Water levels in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River have risen above the danger mark.

The river's second flood crest pushed the water level at Shashi City in Central China's Hubei Province to 24 point zero one meters.

That's just one centimetre above the danger mark.

The second flood crest is now flowing through the province's most fragile Jinjiang section.

So far, Flood Control Headquarters in Hubei have not received any reports of accidents. Local areas are preparing for any emergencies.
