China to Send Special Envoy to Peru for President's Inauguration, FM Spokesman

Tian Fengshan, minister of Land and Resources, will attend as special envoy of the Chinese Government the swearing-in ceremony of President Alberto Fujimori of Peru for a consecutive term from July 27 to 29 at the invitation of the Government of Peru.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhu Bangzao made the announcement Thursday at a regular press conference.

He said that Tian will also visit Peru and Chile during the trip.
