First Cyber-related Plaza Opens in Beijing

Beijing Cyber Science and Technology Co. Ltd. and Beijing Huawei Center. Co. Ltd announced lately that the two companies would use the 5th floor of the Huawei Center as their cyber plaza (www.IT-plaza.net), the first of its kind opened in Beijing.

Situated in the famous Xidan commercial street, Huawei Center is a modernized commercial building providing such services as clothing stores, shops of Korean commodities, computer distribution sectors, catering business and entertainment sectors. The plaza receives more than 50 million customers every year.

The newly-built cyber plaza occupies a floor space of 4000 square meters, dividing into 6 sectors. The website sector consists of many well-known website companies, taking up 60 % of the total plaza. The IT sector provides site for network software and hardware suppliers to develop their business. With an area accounting for 10 % of the plaza the venture investment service sector is set for those domestic and overseas venture investors to seek for investment opportunity and for developing capital market in China. Apart from the aforesaid three sectors, the plaza has set aside 10 % for the setting up of free-of-charge online sector, multi-function sector and cyber DIY sector, etc.

To establish such a cyber place in the downtown area can not only help website operators develop network market on a large scale by making full use of the traditional market resources, but also provide the broad masses of customers a site to experience cyber civilization of modern times said Wang Hanguang, General Manager of Huawei Center.
