Chinese Scientists Forecast Another Ionospheric Storm
Chinese scientists have once again succeeded in forecasting a powerful ionospheric storm.
The China Electric Wave Transmission Institute predicted the storm on July 14 and 15.
The twenty hour storm began at midnight the next day, attacking many parts of the country.
It was caused by a solar storm, affecting short-wave telecommunications and seriously disturbing some telecoms satellites.
Heavy geomagnetic changes were also detected.
