Park to Be Rebuilt on Ruins of Yuanmingyuan

The debate over the future of the ruins of Yuanmingyuan Park has lasted for many years. Some one proposed rebuilding it according to its original style to regain its magnificent view of being "Park Among Thousands of Parks", others suggest maintaining the current shambles, making it a place for education in patriotism. Recently, the debate has come to an end.

The news is released from the symposium "Chinese Cultural Relics Protection and Urban Development" recently closed in Beijing, the department concerned has decided to build a "Yuanmingyuan Ruin Park" which will both reserve the site of the park burned down by the Anglo-French Allied Force and restore the landscape layout of the Yuanmingyuan Park in the former days.
