China Produces Membrane Transistor Colored Liquid Crystal Display
Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province, has begun its batch production of membrane transistor colored liquid crystal display.
It's one of the key projects of China's "Ninth Five-year" Plan. The whole production line and technology are imported from abroad. After mass-production being carried out, the monthly output will reach 30,000 pieces. It's said that products put into mass production mainly include handsets, navigation system for auto positioning, palm VCD and DVD, notebooks, so far, the city has signed contracts of intention with 24 customers like Japan's Sharp, Germany's Siemens, and the Great Wall Group.
