Tibet to go to Hong Kong to Attract Investment This Fall

The Tibet Autonomous Region will hold an economic and trade fair in Hong Kong this October, the second one of its kind since 1985.

Preparations for the fair are currently running along smoothly. The Tibetan government has approved 63 enterprises, 152 products and 91 projects for the exhibition. Two delegations, the government's delegation and an economic and trade delegation will go to Hong Kong to attend the fair.

It is reported that the fair consists of seven parts: exhibition of products, books, CDs, photos, cultural relics and so on with an emphasis on new and traditional Tibetan products; announcement of projects seeking investment; trade talks; the introduction of Tibetan social and economic development; cultural and art exchanges; sales of exhibition products; promotion of tourism in Tibet.
