Dalian Shide Keep Winning Streak in Chinese First Division League

Substitute Hu Zhaojun scored the winner in injury time to give Dalian Shide a 2-1 victory over Shenyang Haishi in the 18th round of the Chinese first division soccer league on Sunday.

With the victory, Dalian Shide retain a 7-point advantage over Shanghai Shenhua and Shandong Luneng, which beat their respective rivals on Sunday.

The Dalian team conceded a goal in the first half, but that never worried them. Only three minutes into the second half, Li Ming slamed home from close range to level the score at 1-1.

The winner came in injury time when Hu Zhaojun's shot from 30 meters changed direction after hitting a defender bounced into the net.

It was Dalian's 13th victory this season. Now they have garnered 42 points with eight round of competitions remaining this season.

Shanghai Shenhua and Shandong Luneng, the other two teams had ever won the league title since China launched professional soccer league in 1994, stayed in the three-way race as they both beat their rivals.

Shanghai Shenhua beat Liaoning Fushun 1-0 while Shandong Luneng trounced Qingdao Hainiu 4-2.

Shandong Luneng and Shanghai Shenhua each have 35 points, 7 points behind Leaders Dalian Shide but still have the chance to win the league title.
