Jiang Zemin Meeting Delegates to Local Foreign Affairs Conference

President Jiang Zemin, also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), met with delegates participating the National Conference on the Work of Local Foreign Affairs at the Great Hall of the People Monday afternoon.
Premier Zhu Rongji, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, was present during the meeting.
The conference, convened in Beijing on July 16-17, was participated by more than 200 people working for local foreign affairs throughout the country.
Vice-Premier Qian Qichen and Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan addressed the delegates respectively during the conference.
