P-COM Brass Delegation Visits China

On July 11, a seven-person top brass delegation of US P-COM, the leading supplier of telecom distribution system and service for end use access to worldwide network, arrived in Beijing to start a seven-day visit to China. The delegation will meet high-level leaders of telecom department of the Chinese government and promote the spread of its products in Chinese markets.

P-COM, Inc. undertakes research, manufactures and markets network access systems for the worldwide wireless telecommunications market. The point-to-point, spread spectrum, and point-to-multipoint radio links provided by P-COM are designed to satisfy the network requirements of cellular and personal communications, public utilities and local governments. So far, P-COM China has opened trial network of LMDS (Local Multipoint Distribution Service) in China and a bright market of this product is expected in future years.

P-COM top brass delegation, including President Jim Sobczak, Vice-president Paul Obert and others will visit concerned leaders of the Chinese government and meet their Chinese counterparts of China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile, China Netcom, as well as PTIC. Meantime, they will discuss and exchange views in depth on how to use wireless access technology to develop telecom service in Chinese markets and division of wireless frequency.
