A China-made Digital High-Definition TV Debut in India

Along with a 32-inch color TV of high definition picture and pure-flat screen made its appearance in New Delhi on July 12, it marks the first time for the Indians to come across the digital high-definition color TV sets in Indian market.

The TV set is developed and produced independently by Konka Group Co. Ltd, a well-known company in China engaging in house-electronic appliances.

Manufactured in 1999 by the Research and Development Center of Konka stationed in the US Silicon Valley, the T3298 TV set was made by means of digital technology, with a definition of 2 to 3 times clearer than that of ordinary TVs. The technology of the TV as such is well placed on the top of the world.

The ordinary analog TV has only 350 sweep traces, yet the digital high definition TV has 1300, which makes the screen look more vivid and verisimilar.

Since the setting-up of the Konka (India) Co. Ltd in April last year it has made tremendous achievements. This year, the company's target is to sell 200,000 color TVs in India.
